Alison Bridge
Alison’s
love of gardens began in childhood, when she would spend hours in the garden
helping her father, a lifelong gardening enthusiast.
After studying art, geography and biology, she went on to gain a degree in horticulture at Pershore. During this time she worked with a talented landscape architect helping undertake prestigious design projects across the country gaining valuable design experience and expertise.
In 2003 Alison joined the Julian Dowle Partnership. As senior designer her projects have ranged from the design of a garden for St Christopher’s Hospice in London to the design of a countryside centre in Gloucestershire. In 2004 & 2005 Alison helped produce the highly successful Show gardens for the Chelsea Flower Show.
A qualified horticulturalist
As a qualified horticulturist, Alison has an extensive knowledge and love
of plants, which is reflected throughout her work. She is fascinated by
architecture and believes designing gardens and landscapes is about sustaining
beauty alongside functionality with a happy marriage between architecture,
lifestyle and nature.
